What are code 1s?

Code 1, also know as Region 1 DVDs are DVDs imported from the USA. Code 1 DVDs are guaranteed uncut since they are imported directly from the USA. They may also often contain special features and other sound or language options not available in Code 3(Singapore) DVDs.

However, they are different in encoding format and require that you have a Multi-Code player to watch. Most players in Singapore are multi-code players, but if you are unsure, please read your player's instruction manual or contact your player's manufacturer for more information.

Code 1 titles in CineNow machines are indicated by "Code 1" or "C1" following the movie's title, or at the bottom of the movie cover.
