NC16 and M18 Rating

The Singapore government authorities introduced new movie ratings for DVDs and VCDs in August 2004:

NC16, which stands for No Children Under 16
M18, which stands for Mature 18, for adults 18 years and older

These ratings will always be accompanied by consumer advice indicating the reasons the movie has been classified as restricted. Consumer advice such as 'violence' or 'nudity' for NC16 and M18 movies is provided on-screen at all CineNow machines to help parents and yourself make more informed viewing decisions. Please note that movies rated R21 are not yet allowed on DVD and VCD.
